Emissions Testing Information for Colorado
There appears to be some confusion about the state emissions testing presently in Fort Collins. More and more people are questioning if shops do emissions testing for gas powered automobiles as a State of Colorado Licensed Diesel Emissions Testing site. The new gas vehicle testing plan is different as it is a centralized testing program run by Air Care Colorado. They are the only site you can bring your cars for testing. The Fort Collins locations is located at 835 S.E Frontage Road, which is just east of Interstate Highway 25 and south of East Mulberry. If you know where the McDonald’s restaurant and the OtterBox warehouse is located, it is on that same road, across from OtterBox. Hours are 8 to 5:30 M-F and 8 to 1 on Saturday.
No appointments are accepted and there are assorted lanes to meet the city’s needs. It is preferred not to go mid day or the first and last couple of days of the month. The cost is $ 25 and it takes only 20 minutes or so for an easy wait and/or test. My time there was very positive and I got right in and out with no difficulty and passed with flying colors. When you go, if there is a line, make certain to keep your auto running so that it is warm/hot when it is tested for ideal results.
If you have low profile or very large tires there could be an issue testing your vehicle. It is a wonderful idea to go out and get them examined before relying on the test as they will oblige you adjust the tires/wheels if they do not work well on their dynamometers. As for diesel emissions testing, not much has changed over the last 20 years. New vehicles are excused for the first four years and then are tested every other year up till they are ten years old. The others are tested annually. If you use a truck that is “chipped” make sure that you set it back to normal before having the test run to make certain that you are getting tested correctly and have your best chance of passing. If you have any questions about emissions testing you can speak to aircarecolorado.com or call them at 970-AIRTEST.
We want to ensure you have all the information you need to have a wonderful experience getting your vehicle tested. We hope that this information will help you to get through this process effortlessly. Albeit emissions tests can be a pain in the ass, it is something that will help keep our ecosystem and air quality in good condition, so it is worth doing when thinking of the future.
If you need to get repairs caused by a failed emissions test, or you want to find out more about auto repair or anything related, please come by our web page: Fort Collins Auto Repair or Auto Repair Fort Collins

Volunteer In Colorado Springs: Ways To Help The Community
Article by Shelley Ruiz – Social Media Expert In Colorado Springs
One of the greatest satisfactions in life, is helping another person in need. By becoming a volunteer in Colorado Springs, the community will always benefit in the end. Finding time to volunteer in Colorado Springs can be tough. What can be even more challenging is finding the right organization to donate your time and money to. When considering volunteer work, look into what is the driving force behind your passion. There are literally hundreds of different organizations within Colorado Springs to Volunteer. Find the right one to help with.
Considering time availability is another great way to begin volunteering. Try to determine how many hours of availability there are, how many days fit the schedule and when suits the needs of the company needing assistance. If taking into the needs of the company, try to visit during their most trying hours, such as food drives at a shelter or weekend holiday work at a soup kitchen.
Consider getting signed up for NeighborBase in Colorado Springs . It’s a network of volunteers, service agencies, and partner churches designed to promote grassroots transformation in our community by mobilizing volunteers to assist and empower our disadvantaged neighbors. You find your passion, you see who needs help, you set your time online to volunteer. It’s that simple.
When volunteering in the community, everyone can pitch in no matter how young, or how old. There is always something available for everyone, and the more people which decide to help out, the more the community will grow and prosper as a result.
Helping out not only helps the specific company, but also allows the company to reach more members in the community, allowing the population they serve to grow larger. The more people helped by a company or organization, is a better community for everyone.
A great organization to volunteer with in Colorado Springs is the Springs Rescue Mission. Springs Rescue Mission has been helping neighbors in Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak Region since 1996. Together we are making a real difference in the lives of poor and struggling families by providing critically needed food, clothing, household supplies and services to our neighbors. Vibrant, sexy, and quite possibly crazy, Bernice is determined to reclaim the child she gave up for adoption five years ago. She convinces her boyfriend, Landis, to help carry out her plan, but once the abduction is accomplished, Bernice—whose own mother was given to manic episodes and strange behavior—is plagued with doubts. Will Landis stay with her, given her volatile personality and his own drifter past? Will she and Landis both end up in jail for this crime? And, perhaps most importantly, will she fail at being a mother? Dovetailed with this is the story of the conservative Christian adoptive parents, Tessa and David, and the effect the kidnapping has on their troubled marriage. As Bernice and Landis journey across America, from Colorado Springs to Tucson to Baltimore, Bernice must confront her past and the secrets she has kept.

Glenwood Springs, Colo. (PRWEB) May 15, 2012
Extraordinary efforts yield extraordinary results, a concept Glenwood Hot Springs takes to heart all year long, especially May through August, a time known at the hot springs resort as peak season. Summer is when the resort?s water slides, miniature golf, spray-on tattoos, creamy and cool sweet treats, extended hours and savings packages come out to play, offering visitors extra options for fun and value.
?We pull out all the stops for summer; it?s our most exciting season. We want visitors to have a memorable, fun-filled vacation at Glenwood Hot Springs, and we go to great lengths to make that happen,? said Jeremy Gilley, Glenwood Hot Springs Director of Sales and Revenue.
For instance, nothing says summer like an ice cream cone, and the Grill at Glenwood Hot Springs adds summer staff just to keep up with demand for this all-time favorite treat. On a typical summer day the Grill dispenses 1,000 cones! Chocolate, vanilla, and a twist that combines the two are always popular, but flavorbursts are another way to add some zing to plain vanilla. Choose from fun flavors like root beer, peach, strawberry, blue raspberry, watermelon, cheesecake, banana, and even green apple. The flavor options explode exponentially with shaved ice. Pick from 25 flavors; for something different, try the cotton candy, pink lemon sour, or black cherry. Other cool summertime treats available at the Grill include fruit smoothies and iced coffees. The Grill is open daily for breakfast and lunch during peak season from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and the Snack Bar is open from 11:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
As the world?s largest hot springs pool, Glenwood Hot Springs knows how to make an extra big splash. Aside from a pool the length of a football field, two water slides? the Green Amazon and the Blue Comet ? provide thrills for daredevils both young and young at heart. Each slide offers over 300 feet of twists and turns, cascading down more than four stories! Slides are open daily in the summer from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and riders can choose passes with four, eight, or unlimited rides. One of the best summertime values is called the Super Splash and combines admission to the Glenwood Hot Springs Pool, an all-day water slide pass, and a slice of pizza and refillable drink cup from the Grill; weekend rates for adults are $ 43.25, children $ 36. Weekday rates are slightly less. A Splash package is also available and includes pool admission, an eight-ride water slide pass and refillable drink cup for $ 29.50 for adults, $ 22.50 for children.
Another Glenwood Hot Springs extra that parents of youngsters appreciate is the Kiddie Pool, located at the east end of the property. A few inches of water and a gentle fountain are all it takes to keep kids safely corralled and entertained, while ample deck space provides plenty of room to spread out toys and gear. Of course, a Glenwood Hot Springs lifeguard is on duty at all times, keeping a watchful eye on tots. Kiddie Pool hours are from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily.
Perhaps the most obvious cue that summer has arrived at Glenwood Hot Springs is the appearance of poolside cabanas across the property. These temporary shelters provide extra shade on sunny Colorado days, as well as privacy. Each of the resort?s five cabanas is equipped with cushioned patio furniture, a ceiling fan, four plush towels, and a drink cooler stocked with ice and four bottles of water. Cabanas are only available during peak season and can be rented for a full day for $ 85 or for a half-day for $ 50.
Other venues that are extra popular during peak season are the Airbrush Temporary Tattoo Tent and the Glenwood Hot Springs Miniature Golf. The tattoo tent is located next to the Slide Hut near the deep end. Choose from a selection of nearly 300 temporary tattoos. There are designs to suit every taste, including zodiac, Chinese and Celtic symbols, animals and transportation; choose a single design or build a custom work of art. The alcohol-based tattoos are waterproof and last up to five days. Prices range from $ 4 to $ 15 depending on size. Open daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Anyone up for an extra challenge will find it on the Glenwood Hot Springs Miniature Golf Course. Located near the water slides, the venue is shady, providing a break from the summer sun. The 18-hole course includes bridges, tunnels, streams, waterfalls and the opportunity to win a free game by shooting a hole-in-one. Summer hours are Noon ? 10:00 PM, Sunday ? Thursday, and Noon ? 11:00 PM on Friday and Saturday. Adults play for $ 6.25, children for $ 4.25.
With the arrival of summer comes extra-long days and extra time off from work and school; make this summer extraordinary at Glenwood Hot Springs. Find out more at http://www.hotspringspool.com.
